I need help playing kennen any tips or advice wanted
I am pretty new to kennen and i know the basics but i am still basically a noob at him so any tip will help thx :D

I rune him ADC and usually start doran blade but I will build him AP. The adc runes are stronger early game and help you last hit. Gold and farm is super super important on Kennen. Staying above the curve on Kennen is super important as it's the difference between merely softening whole enemy team or annihilating them.
12-18-0 masteries, go thunderlords/precision/assassin, rest can be preference
I firmly believe there's a slight misconception on what items are core on him. I usually rush Rylias for good health utility and kiting. It allows you to deter duelists from 1v1'ing him; possibly beat and punish them w/o ulting. You'd rather use ults for teamfights and crush those. But you don't want to be at their mercy either.
W max is easiest. Use W auto procs on your opponent. Instead of pressing W right away, you can press W in lane for a reset on the duration of the mark giving you time to get another auto W proc that'll stun them. You can Q them then for free and proc W again then auto stun them again. That is the normal cycle I use. Sometimes they're scared and I have to E closer, but only cause I know I'm safe from ganks.
Kennen is most effective top lane IMO, but he can be a niche mid laner and he makes a pretty good support.
So I'm no the best kennen player but i have some tips. First off you can cancel his e which can be extremely helpful in some situations. its extremely important to track when your empowered auto is going to be up and utilize it for pokes and easy stuns with your other abilities.As for runes I find it helps me to take some ad into the game because it's hard to last hit without your q. And the ad isn't wasted since he scales well with ad on his w. A no-brainier is you should get zhoynas rather quickly. I personally love getting gunblade on him because aforementioned ad scaling and the nice slow coupled with spellvamp is fun but not necessarily meta. He does extremely well with magic pen. you need to make sure your team understands your intent to engage or you will die alone. Tp is the standard spell but because kennen has a pretty strong early game you can run ignite to snowball early.
