Dynamic Queue Isn't Broken, You Are

Getting really tired of the perpetual negativity on these forums. I am by no means a great player but I've been slowly rising the ranks this season from a mid silver start to my promos into gold 1/2. I never queue up with anyone other than myself. Now I know most of you are better than me at this game so I have to assume the people complaining simply forgot how to win! So...

Here are some tips on how to win games and stop blaming the system:

-Be positive. Nobody likes to be or get flamed, and if you're in a queue with a premade, it'll only make things worse. Do your part to minimize the chances of getting trolled whether you deserve it or not.

-Play carries. No I don't mean ADC, I mean jungle. If you get good at jungle you can influence the entire game. Invade at level 2, gank early and often, encourage teammates after each gank.

-Communicate, don't harass. If your laner leaves, don't just ping, TYPE IT. If you're a jungler, track them. You should have a good idea of where their jungler is, or probably is, at all times. If you don't know how to do this, look at where you are, flip it depending on what buff they started (which you should know) and then estimate.

-Group up. Especially if you're with a premade, just group. This game is won off objectives not kills. I'll play a game where I die 7 times but my assists are double that and I took down turrets all game. If you're not with a premade...group up! Unless you have an excellent split pusher and they are actually communicating then try to group, because this is very team fight orientated right now, as a team game should be, so play to the meta.

-Adapt. Your favourite champ always has a go-to build. But it won't always work, press TAB often and counter every single item they build. Aside from the fact that some champions feel overtuned, let it be a skill matchup as much as it can be. And everyone hating on Ekko, Zed, etc, learn to play against them. They honestly aren't that bad (note: I don't play these champs). Everyone know Ekko will face tank you then ult away, so prepare for it. Build a team that has CC, disengage, or POKE. Make him dive your carry at half or 1/3 HP to start. Zed? CC. When he ults he is literally telegraphing where he is going (behind the mark). So CC him and burn him down. The champs everyone hates the most should be the champs everyone knows how to deal with. Stop blaming the system and adapt and think how can I counter this?

-Try and have fun. It still is a fun game or you wouldn't be playing it. If it isn't fun for you anymore, quit it (you won't).

Dynamic Queue might feel worse, it's certainly different, but there are plenty of Solo Q'ers out there making it work everyday, and carrying themselves, or being carried from time to time. If you stop being victims I promise you your game will improve.

Thankyou

That does not solve the problem for solo queing players like myself. Every time I que, I get 4 newbies such as yourself on my team. So I essentially have to carry against a team of 4-5 pre-mades who know what they're doing and can communicate. Removing all personal skill required to win.

I agree that this is a team game and it is great to actually be able to play it as a team. Assuming you can put a team together. Otherwise just don't play.

[zombie-brand-facepalm]

It is broken due to premades having an advantage over solo players and therefore creating imbalanced games.

Sorry, but you don't get it.

It's not about winning or losing, it's about the in game experience. As a solo player, I was frequently getting paired with 4 man premades.

Best case scenario they would be on voice communication and the only communication I received through chat was them barking orders for me to fall in line with their master plan. Worst case scenario they'd go "break the meta" picks and feed horribly then surrender at 20... because hey, they have the majority vote anyways.

After a few of those games I realized I'm done until Riot changes Dynamic Queue or restores Solo Queue.

Well not everyone can just jungle every game. Good advice overall. I would remind people that carrying isn't always about racking up a big KDA. I've carried many games as support without any kills. You should also find the enemy team's strongest and weakest links. Bait the weakest links to an easy death before every fight and then focus the strongest during the team fight. After that you just have 3 gap fillers to take down. It's pretty rare to go against a team with more than 1 MVP, or with less than 1 noob getting carried.

Good pointers. Thank you. Who are your favorite jungle carries?
