Will I get demoted?

I'm going to make this quick and short since I know a lot of you read through these and have other questions to answer other than mine. My question for you is this. Recently I achieved Gold V and am glad I did. I wanted to climb higher and decided to play more ranked games. However I lost all 3 of my next games. I am still Gold V and have 0 lp. Hovering over my lp is a caution sign that says I have a demotion shield which claims, "You are being shielded from demotion but have lost too many games to maintain your current rank. Winning more games will prevent you from being demoted." So my question is... If I chose to not play anymore games to stop myself from risking losing more and going back to silver, will I still get demoted because I didn't win any games or will my rank stay the same until I lose more?

only way to derank without playing games is in plat+ elo from decay. you can sit g5 until end of season and be fine.

Whoops voted before reading the whole thing. If you mean if you will get demoted when you play some more then you are good till the shield turns red. If you mean going into the next season then yea you will go back to silver(everyone gets demoted).
