So I just thought about something
and
are now very good key items in builds meaning that most burst champs have no place in the meta. Don't get me wrong, but people like
already lost to tanks and bruisers and
(although banshee's was almost never bought before)
. But now he has to deal with people actually building
and
commonly. Does no one else see a problem when the carries are essentially always building a second life or spell shield item? Does that not seem like a bad idea as it essentially removes assassins and burst mages from the game. I understand you need counter play, but building a single item to counter a champion is what leads to
champions that can almost never be balanced because of that one item.
I main Veigar and still have managed to keep my 70% win rate with him, but I feel like the only reason I have is people haven't adapted their builds yet. Once people figure it out I essentially am going to have very few reasons to play him. I won't be able to CC lock a team or put out huge burst, my early game will be bad, my mid game will be average and my late game will be bad because almost everyone will have those items. (This is just from a Veigar stand point). I'm sure other burst characters are going to see some dramatic drops in win rate and forced play style changes as well.
I don't even go full damage Veigar because I want the utility and durability more. Maybe that has helped buffer me from dropping as hard, but IDK it just seems like a bad idea to make this many items anti burst.
