Does anyone else not ship them? I personally can't stand the thought of them being together mainly because Kat isn't the type of woman that will go for a guy, especially a Demacian. She's the kind that can be approached but gives no interest to people and as well with killing them on-spot. Garen's just way in over his head with fighting her. I think they'd be supposedly allies (not friends) and support each other when needed, but never lovers.

In all honesty, I think Garen just has a crush; Pretty sure Katarina would rather go for Talon or the Noxus Bros, or more likely just be single/date some Noxian nobleman who isn't in the game. I haven't come across anything that even suggests Katarina acknowledges Garen as a rival the way he seems to her (in his lore). Of course I haven't read JoJ, so there could be stuff in there.

The season 3 cinematic Riot put out A Twist of Fate seemed to indicate they aren't secretly friends. (The Garen vs. Katarina fight starts at 1:57 if you want to skip straight to it)
I think the journal of justice lore-thing Riot had going for a bit had stories about them working together though, as do pretty much every fan-comic I've seen. In the cinematic Garen not only knocked Katarina unconscious, but tried to finish her off. Like, he sky-sworded her into a catacomb, and then chased down her unconscious body and tried to behead her. I think Katarina also tried to stab him in the face.
Seemed unfriendly IMO.
