I never want to play season 7 again, lethality meta, ardent meta, rylai meta, redemption meta HOLY HELL i would never play that again I never want to play season 3 again, by far one of the worst time league went through, between 8 months of item 3153 meta after its first "rework", and the abuse of jungle items throughout the entire season by Ezreal Vladimir Mordekaiser mages tanks and other bruisers, without forgetting how top was a clown fiesta of ranged champions Elise Jayce Kennen Ryze VladimirLissandra with the single viable melee picks above d1 being Shen and Zac on release

But when i think about season 2, if someone tells me "would you play season 2 again" would answer by yes in the 0.01 following second I guess what people do not see is that despite all the imbalance there was, you still had fun I'm going to list all the imbalanced things you had in season 2 just for you people to realise how wrong it was

i'm writing this thread because i saw an other thread talking about the macro of the game, and while i agree with the idea that the macro of the game has become worse, but that thread was wrong about what made the macro of the game worse

Before, damage was not that high. And damage creep does exist, when scorch cheap shot gets released along with aery comet and other things combined with the lose of MR runes, the general nerf of tank items every single time since preseason 3 i can remove half of an adc hp with janna

i already said it but it removes a part of the fun of the game if you deal too much damage, positioning, kiting, targetting the right champion, all of that doesn't matter anymore AND THIS is macro

additionally farming used to take skill, remember (of course no one is going to remember) how everyone praised froggen for farming? alex ich? those godlike midlaners that would have 324 farm at 24 min in the game? and no they didn't script they were just better than us and they still roamed, remember alex ich's ap gragas mid having a ton of farming and still having map presence?

but that doesn't matter anymore, because you don't need to have godlike farming abilities anymore, all you need is to kill your laner 1 or 2 times with your jungler, take tower, more towers, and then push mid to win by 20 min

laning phase ends at 8 min, i would never have imagined it happening in my worst nightmares but it does

and i didn't understand how did i go from 20 min laning phase in season 3 to 8 min laning phase in season 6 but i understood, because back in season 5 riot made towers a joke, able to be destroyed in one minion wave they increased ambiant gold, increased snowballing via kills, just did everything to reduce the duration of games

but the true thing that i will miss in season 2 is just toplane toplane died after season 2, and died harder after season 3

nowday you don't have any impact anymore as a toplaner every single time i play with malicious metal we have a gangplank going 0/5 but it doesn't matter because we destroyed bot and we win every single time qtpie played sion ad top, he went like 0/10 and still won by getting carried

Toplane is a joke, and HateDaddy left the game because of that and he was right, no one sane in their mind would play that role season 2 toplane was trully the fun you would have, playing mages like vlad/kennen (and not stupid on hit shit) playing tanks like shen singed, or playing bruisers but they had to destroy it, they had to nerf item 3091 and other bruisers item, they had to introduce more and more ranged champions able to disengage, the moment Jayce got released i was like "why would you ever introduce a ranged champion able to destroy the shit out of Irelia Jax "

that's just my opinion, the macro level of this game decreased

not because of stupid things like "wow, skillshots ugh!!." but because of game duration, farming, damage creep so much things that now matter less than before
