Thoughts on incoming immobile mage rework?

There is a rework planned for damage based (as opposed to utility) immobile mages. Champions like Vel'koz, Brand, Zyra, and Viktor are some of my favorite midlaners so an update like this would effect me pretty greatly. I am a little worried, however, that even though most of these champs are in an okay spot (if not even a little weak by their win rates), in the process of reworking some of them that their damage might be clipped. For example, Viktor obviously does insane amounts of damage, and even though he's not popular right how, his damage might be seen as nerf worthy during the changes.

Should I be worried or excited for some of my favorite champs? What are your thoughts on what is to come with these changes?

Take a look at this thread here: http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/GyiRaOhk-expectated-outcome-for-immobile-mage-reworks

Solideus had some pretty good thoughts about what may happen. In my opinion, Vel'Koz, Brand and Zyra will all likely get some fun new toys to play with. Viktor might get nerfed a bit to compensate, but since he's already a hypercarry he'll still be fine provided he makes it to lategame.

I just want Zyra to have a more useful/fun passive. I hope they don't really touch my mains (Swain, Cassiopeia) unless they are buffs (maybe a buff for Cass to regen mana b/c she runs out quite easily and recovering mana is quite difficult).
