Who thought it was a good idea to make the second part of her E deal TRUE DAMAGE? Are we waiting for the plot twist that she's really Zo'E, a shapeshifter from the void who's sole purpose is to ruin people's days by not caring about their tank stats?
If it dealt magic damage, your MR would apply twice to it.
So, her Q does 500 damage, say, and that doubles exactly (assuming you have 60% magic DR)
(500 * 0.40) + (200 * 0.40) = 280 (200 is the damage her Q would do after mitigation)
That seems a little low for her entire combo, right? A measly 80 extra damage.
So, instead, it's (500 * 0.40) + (200) = 400.
So you get an extra 200 damage for landing your whole combo that's all skillshots and whatnot.
If it was magic damage, it also wouldn't be double damage, and it'd be a lie.
