Can we talk about Taliyah?

I don't think Taliyah is in a real favorable position right now. I honestly don't know what she needs, but for a champion that have a utility type of ult, I feel like her basic abilities should do more damage. In the beginning she does a decent amount of damage but mid to late game she just falls off so hard. No one really giving my girl love, she's hardly picked and in the meta we are in right now, she doesn't really have a proper footing in it. Even her passive is kinda useless since its only by nearby walls. Why not just give her the movement speed buff in general? I know that we're trying to do it according to her lore also but its just limiting her. It just seems like she have many limitations, especially with the Q cooldown if it was used in the area already. I just want Taliyah to find a proper place in this season instead of being forgotten.

:sob:

As someone who "threw another rock" with Taliyah for quite some time before and after her release (PBE, normals, and ranked) I can say that her mana is just prohibitive right now for her having a decent laning phase. For one, her Q isn't a discount, it's a refund - she has to have the full 60+ mana to cast it only to get 1/2 of it back. That's the easiest buff I see - change that from a refund to a discount - when on Worked Ground, Taliyah's Q mana cost is halved.

Another buff area I see with her currently is the fact that taking champion or monster damage stops her from flying away on her ultimate. I think that it would be beneficial to test removing this and/or replacing it with something less restrictive - maybe have it to be a limit (i.e. "if Taliyah receives more than 200 damage from enemy champions while riding the wall, she will immediately get off") or to be a set number of damages (i.e. "if Taliyah is hit by 3 champion auto attacks or basic abilities while preparing to ride or riding the wall, she will immediately get off"). This way it can be more effectively used as an escape tool - honestly its pretty high cooldown doesn't help either.

But hey - it's still easy to win games with her once you get the hang of her. She's less of an APC and more of a supporting role with zoning, CC, and the terrain, but she's still fun to play right now :)

Riot is paying attention, she already has buffs on the PBE. While it's not more dmg, hp and armor can help win trades.

The only thing that's pretty meh about her is her passive. Otherwise she's hella balanced and is more like a carry version of Orianna. She doesn't really hardcounter anyone and doesn't get hardcountered by anyone. Her roaming with her wall is insane and the damage values on her Q is insane granting you land them all which is made significantly easier with Rylais which is essential on her anyway.

Honestly I don't see why people say she needs a buff. If she really isn't that great anymore then it's due to preseason runes and not her kit in and of itself. In that case then it's up to Riot to balance things because in this case, she won't be the only one "underwhelmed" with new runes.

Also, her damage doesn't fall off that hard in late game, and besides, in the preseason games are shorter anyway Alike Lissandra, she's amazing, but with a lackluster passive

From my experience she seems fine, I'd love it if they could revert the 6.14 changes but that's probably not happening so I can live with how she is right now.

Let her ride her surftable wherever she is instead of just near walls. Let her use her ult as a scape tool even if she gets hit...with some kind of restriction (after some dmg she can get knoked off etc).

Thats it. She doesnt need more.
