Why is Jarvan so weak
I cant get good games with jarvan . I used to main him but now hes just completely underwhelming. When you compare him to garen for example , jarvan feels like such a handicap to your team in comparison.

He's completely fine this patch.
i don't think hes been nerfed (recently buffed, im not sure if it went live yet), i guess hes just not favorable in the current meta, though if your just picking up a champion again after a long awhile then wouldn't you say your just rusty then him being weak
If you're not building him AD heavy and playing him as an assassin, that could be why. While Jarvan's kit may look like an initiator/tankish style he's way to fragile to do it.
He's a burst centric champion in a tanky meta. As a full tank he has low combat performance versus other tanks (sustained dmg low). He's best with an AD caster or bruiser build however Cleaver and Last Whisper were heavily nerfed preseason. He's good versus mages (I say that because hexdrinker is busted) but adcs and tanks are the problem champs you need to beat or be in this meta.
His buffs were in a very good direction though. They push his forte and can be played around. Maybe if warrior jungle and AD centric fighters became strong with assassins being prevalent he would be great.
