God of the Low Tiers: Not for everyone? (Amumu)

Hello!

If you've seen me post before, the chances are high you saw one of my posts about wanting to climb out of Bronze. They're all there in the archives if you're curious, but in my travels of trying to get decent information I came across this gem: Amumu jungle is the god of the Bronze tier.

My question: On what conditions?

I think I'm a decent player and jungler, and I suppose I'm fine at Amumu, but I was set up to believe he was freelo by more than one Youtube video, and it was not my experience. Was I led astray, or am I doing something wrong here?

In general, I've given up on my ruthless dedication (and the stress that comes with it) to clmibing because I'm working full time, it's the busy season, and I'm going part time for my master's degree, so i don't have the time required to blow my weekends trying to climb, but May is around the corner, so I'm preparing for the avalanche of free time I'm about to gain.
