Ekko and mana

I have found it much more expensive to play ekko now, and im starting to struggle as him and usually my kills are triple my deaths now they are usually equal to my deaths. Well its because i rushed the old morello and flew from there. What other champs are you guys now trying to adjust to and how are you dealing with it? Is it affecting the experience much? and do you find it harsher on AP champs who used to depend on morellos for some mana?
