Preseason Ranking
Will the rank I achieve during preseason carry on to Season 8? I am pretty sure it does not but I like to be sure.

No it doesn't, but ranked games in pre-season still affect your MMR going into Season 8 slightly.
For example: If you finished Gold 5 in S7, but got to Gold 2-3 during pre-season, instead of getting placed in Low silver to start S7 you'll probably be placed mid-high silver (assuming you go like 5-5 in your 10 game provisionals)
