The New Runes/Champion Buffs- Riot Forgot a Class!!

What i call the Melee Auto attack class, i am going to call them fighters for sake of this thread. these are champions that are melee and their main source of damage is caused by auto attacks. for example, master yi, tryndamire, aatrox, trundle, nocturn you get the idea there are a few others. i have yet to find a primary rune suited for these types of champs. at first i saw lethal tempo and my eyes got big but its less effective then it looks for them, the problem is it happens 1.5 seconds after doing damage so its great for ADC, not so much for the fighter class. fighter class engages and usually after 1.5 the champion dashes or uses some form of cc and by the time you catch up the buff is almost wasted.

Onto the champion buffs little confused at their reasoning with some of them, tanks got 15% attack speed which is kind of a headscratcher they were already oppressive in the top lane, and with the new runes they now get a bonus 120 health (instead of 75 if you took hp runes before) and have the 15% attack speed, with a huge base armor buff( this is fine they are tanks). i have to argue that 15% attack speed should of been given to the fighter class above and not the tanks, if there goal was to give tanks some attack speed they could of given it over time not all at once. on a side note not sure why adc got a base armor buff but that's besides the point .

Anyways let me know what you think, anyone find any good runes they like for the forgotten melee auto attack class? i could see predator being ok but was hoping for a new sustained primary rune for them.

Lethal Tempo isn't good for anyone right now. Run Fleet Footwork or Press the Attack - possibly Electrocute if you want the burst damage instead. Literally the only two people who might be considering it are Kayle and Kog'maw.

Tanks got AS because they lost CSing power.

ADCs got a base armor buff because they generally took base armor runes in addition to the AD/AS runes.

Almost every single stat buff this patch (including to items!) was based off of what was the most common rune to take, or what Riot saw as a healthier rune for them to take, or what Riot believed they needed most to make up for lost runes.

I'd go with electrocute ( more damage than thunderlords but more cd) for solo laners or early damage and dark harvest for agressive junglers or late game champions. With trynda for example, I'd pick then the rune that gives true damage to enemies with impaired movement. With Zed or Yi I'd choose instead the rune thay gives you damage after a dash or being unseen. In that same path there's a rune that gives you some healing from the damage you do for each take down. Then for the second path I'd go the yellow (taking the rune that heals you after a takedown and the one that makes you do more damage to eneies under 40% health) or green path (for sustain) depending of the champion and matchup

I can't speak for the others, but for Trundle I've been going Grasp/Resolve and the Inspiration path for Future's Market and the CDR one. Not too pleased with it atm. Fleet of foot hasn't been working too well for me either. Going to try Press the attack next and see if that does anything for him. Honestly, if the Resolve path had some %damage reduction, like the damage runes get %damage increases, then he would be golden.
