Skill discrepancy between Leagues

So about what League do these skill discrepancies end and people are all consistently on the same level?

Supposedly the game puts you in matches with people of similar skill and if that is the case how come we see so many steamrollers where a particular player or players look like they need to be in bronze still?

I honestly feel 60-70% of my games are filled with players on my team that are not on the "similar skill" on par with the average in their league.

I don't know. But steamrollers are difficult to overcome and those account for most my ranked games.

Because even when you have people of the same skill, sometimes one team gets lucky and meshes well together and can work together while the other team just doesnt get it.

Sometimes youll have that top laner who thinks split pushing means constantly shoving his lane regardless of whats going on. OR at times youll have that jungler who thinks they need to just power farm til they have their ulti or items. OR you get that midlaner who never roams and just farms while the enemy mid laner is picking up kills all over Sometimes you get that ADC who wants to farm it out Sometimes you get the support who is great at peeling but doesnt believe in being a pixel away from the ADC.

These strategies may work for them in half the games but sometimes they dont meld into a team very well while the other team has chemistry. Its the nature of any team game where the teams are randomly grouped. Its not Riots fault and they cant really control it. I think the problem a lot of people are having is the game is becoming more teamwork reliant and the solo carry potential isnt as high. The worst player on a team is becoming more important to wins and losses because a lack of teamwork leaves youre whole squad vulnerable. I honestly believe that this playerbase is maturing (Not in a behavior/growing up kind fo way) in their game sense and long time vets from bronze to plat know what works moreso than before. The meta has shifted even since i started playing to champs that have the ability to influence teamfights and objectives vs champs that can rack up kills easily.

Mig hit it pretty headon on here. There's just too many variables to say "Ok this team has the higher MMR- this team will win", no- theres different playstyles, different comps, different item builds- different objections. I mean too many calculations to simply dismiss the team with lower MMR that they just straight up lose, I'd say even if its a 500 MMR variable. What you have to understand is that there are soooooooooo many variables (think of them as dice rolls) that start from champ select- not from just who's on your team. https://imgur.com/a/BZe7e
