Champion "Reworks"
Forgive me for this, but league has a lot of things that people complain about... Toxic players, Players reported for "replying negatively", afks, lag, elo boosting...
But one thing I don't get, the one absolutely Riot-Controlled part of this game is champions.... and this is considered an "E-Sport" now with serious gameplay, effort, and investment put into that title. Sports do not drastically change certain components just because they feel like it, rebalancing some things is fine (changing numbers, small skills)
But why the hell do they COMPLETELY redo a champion's identity after months/years of mains learning to maximize them? Some champions, let's say zed... he got an AS scaling nerf (wtf right) and a shadow return delay, and that kept his identity while not gutting his kit, just enforcing who he is. Lee sin started to get that, and, well, that didn't happen.
Veigar gets his guaranteed burst nerfed his one cc entirely changed... okay, a little more extreme than the previous two but that is fine, .
Sona... just look at the public opinion over the "love" she's been shown, but she kept her kit and identity
Sion is something new beyond recognition for an old main (I like it, but that's not the point)
Morde is meant for an entirely new "role" altogether because.... and there are many many many more
I'm not saying I don't like some of these changes, but I find them slightly... disproportionate based on riot/user popularity, which should NOT dictate tactical upheaval. If you spend time learning a kit of a champion, you should not lose the entire kit or the way to utilize it just because riot thought "well fuck it, this NEW champ idea sounds cool and that one wasn't that used anyways"... or god forbid the ever vague "Zero counterplay" which literally means "We don't like this champion" (I'm not discussing this because that could be a thread by itself on how it has varied meanings by perspective).... but for the reworks:
If I'm alone in this, so be it, but Riot... as an "esport" please do not continually change certain aspects selectively to such a degree. Change and rebalancing is part of the game, especially having so many champions now, but making old champions "new" champions "just because", while leaving other old champions untouched ..." just because" is disproportionately unfair to those who spent the time on the wrong end of the crapshoot... unless we should all research favorite champions and only main those which still is unfair in my opinion. If you want to "rework" champions, make a new one and "rebalance" old ones (my opinion, im sure there are better solutions)
tldr; Don't rework old champions from the ground up, it sets back mains of those champions, rebalance them instead like you do your favorite playmakers please!
