You are not a "support" you are just a Mage at bot lane

The issue is you're not fulfilling your role fully. Build a sightstone. Better yet, build Eye of the Watchers. After that, your build is your own whether you want to build AP or utility.

Simply put, no sightstone and you are a second mid/fake support. It's not difficult to simply get SS. It's more willfully choosing not to.
