Yeah I get it, hidden MMR. The main point is how the hell can a diamond 5 player still stay at their rank while getting queued with gold-low plat? Something needs to change about Division V.
That just means that the Diamond V player's MMR is in low Plat, but not QUITE low enough to drop to Plat just yet... and the Gold player's MMR is in Plat... so... tada, you face each other, the Diamond on their way DOWN, and the Gold on their way UP.

I really don't know how anyone can actually defend this system still. It's sad that people can still stay in division 5 while having really low MMR. It encourages them to either play random shit or just be complacent and stay at their desired rank while performing on a sub-par level.
