So apparently some folks at Riot are afraid Kog will be too strong at the LCS level

This puzzles me.

If Kog ends up being too strong at the LCS level, despite being rather gimped in Solo, then can't the pros just ban him?

Or ban the champions that support him?

Or pick a team comp with strong disengage to force Kog to waste his W?

Or pick a split-push team comp heavy on mobility and pick Kog off in smaller skirmishes when there are fewer champions to protect him?

Or pick powerful divers to erase him instantly?

Or pick an early game dominate team and just close out the match before 35 minutes?

For those at Riot who feel this way, why? Why is the idea of Kog being strong at the LCS level so scary? Why is it alright for so many other champions to be dominate at the professional level for years at a time, but the specter of Kog being a contested pick is absolutely unallowable? Don't you guys balance around the Plat Solo level? Why the inconsistency?
