Why does the Champion info page not tell you their damage?

The old legacy client listed the the scaling of AD and AP, and the base damage on the champion abilities page. This would be a good addition to the champion info page to let people know what would be the best build for different champions. For example, if it listed a high base damage, you could opt to build tank for that champion, and if an ability had high scaling with AP, you could max that ability first. This info would be useful to know before you pickup a new champion, so could we have this info on the new client.
