One of my friends asked me this question yesterday so I got really curious. For season 6, will we be demoted to lower tiers (not division) by losing certain number of games (e.g. if we lose more than x games at 0 Lp, will we drop from gold 5 to silver 1 or from silver 5 to bronze 5)?
You can drop from gold to silver or silver to bronze if your mmr gets low enough and you lose at 0 lp. It has been that way in the past. My understanding is you would drop to either silver 1 or bronze 1. I think you start with 75 lp so its just like a normal demotion. It just takes a lot more losses to drop a tier than it does divisions.
