How is this actually an issue?

I've been seeing people in live streams complain about Irelia's nerfs, how exactly are they bad? I mean, her ult is really strong especially if she gets to bot lane for an ambush or is against an auto attacking top laner (which is a large portion) so what's so bad about the nerfs she's getting if it's gonna make her a bit more of an even opponent?
