How can we buff supports without giving power to other classes ?

Hi guys,

I was a main support who got fed up seeing every other game with a Mage """support""" and decided to see if the grass was greener on the other side. The grass literally since I started to play Jungle more and more. And guess what, I started to play Ivern. And I've got a hell of fun. Not Being the Marksman's Lil [Insert B-Word Here], getting my own consistent gold income and feeling really impactful specially since I get most of my items quicker. So, yeah Gold is a real issue as support and they got item reliant over time to time until Mages take their place. So, how should we buff them? Let's talk about it.

We could increase their base numbers. I do like that idea. But... since support supposed to be strong through their utility it might not be a good idea.

We could give them higher ratios, but it might make them too powerful if built AP (Yeah I'm watching you Sona . No need to stare at me like that. Wait what are you doing. Do not play that thing near me... ARGH.). Furthermore, same as before support should be rewarded for their utility.

Few months ago, people ask for a new ratio for support. It's cool idea, but it might reduce the role to sole support. Unexpected one might not be playable (Orianna/Morg (yeah she's still a mage to me but that's a debate for another topic).

I thought about something that seems weird but could work: Multiplying gold income bonus value on item... When you're buying a certain item that is a part of a support item like item 3114 item 3028 it could have a multiplicative value like +50% (just a number like that) bonus gold that works only on gold income item (and their passive ?). So it won't affect other lanes since it doesn't add gold it multiplicates it.

what are you thinking about it overall or even my idea ? Let's do some brain storming a bit :D
