Zed's Ult and Spell shield. How does it work?
Basically the title, should I play playing someone with a spell shield and a zed is in the match, do I block the final pop of damage? Or Am I supposed to use it at the start?

You should always shield when the mark would start.
All of the marking spells are functionally similar to DoTs, except dealing the damage at the end of the duration. You have to block the entire mark.
Thankfully, Zed's ultimate is probably the easiest to preemptively block. Vladimir's ultimate and pre-rework Zilean bombs were impossible to really time a block, you had to predict when the player would cast it.
As soon as you see Zed vanish from your sight, you should spell shield. As a zed main, this screws me 90% of the time and I end up falling over and dying.
Thanks guys
