Veigar is broken

I was having a nice day playing league of legends i was playing mid and my n word was playing top we were happy having fun until we saw a mid we thought this won't be that bad but were we wrong so later that game we were fighting and hit me with a HAMMER aka Q and did 1400 damage at first i thought it was the R but was i wrong is it far when an ability can do 1400 that isn't and R.
