@Fearless (Or Any Dev) - On Squishies & The Resolve Tree
You mentioned this concern in a dev update a couple of months ago and I was wondering if you could provide any new info?
I'll quote it here for anyone that didn't read it before:
"We’re also seeing some issues with Resolve in general. We’ve aware that it doesn’t feel great for squishy characters to splash into the Resolve tree, even when they’re worried about their lane. We want Resolve to be a place for any champion to grab a little extra defense when they need it, and the Conditioning slot is probably the first place we’ll make improvements. We’re looking into big and small changes to improve this slot, but no timeline yet on when we’ll ship those changes."

For some context as to why I ask and if you'd care to comment on this specifically it would be amazing!
As a
main I've tried several rune pages and item combinations since Runes Reforged launched. Nothing seems to come close to using the old rune system to simply stack Armor + MR/level runes and then go CDR/Health/Armor/MR items. I wasn't an AP carry like the Electrocute Bards now, nor a traditional support in any way- but rather took a page from the "Book of Mundo": Bard goes where he pleases! Unless the enemy was incredibly fed I could wade into teamfights and position for Q stun after Q stun after Q stun. Journey to ferry allies around and drop clutch ults. No damage to speak of. Very limited heals. That's it- pure battlefield control with a high skill cap.
Tank Bard is now gone and I'm rather bummed since it was such a unique playstyle with only two champs even coming close (Rakan and Tahm) but it's still not the same. Since Runes Reforged it doesn't matter at all what runes you take, what items you get (unless absurdly ahead) the damage coming from enemies is too much to handle for even an "offtank" - especially with Keystones working in such particular ways that don't always work with all champions. Guardian doesn't work well if you play aggressively, Grasp is almost strictly a lane sustain tool, and Aftershock is clearly meant for melee champions and only provides a small window of buffed durability. The level of durability of innately tanky champions who don't even spec Resolve vs. squishies that do is still massively ahead. I know it's rather boring but we almost need a way to get a ball of defensive stats on champions that simply don't have them innately. Bone Plating is a step in the right direction, but still doesn't come close to the freedom of stacking raw stats we had before.
Thanks for reading and I hope I didn't come off too negatively :)
