Group Items By Role Classification

Basically give items a "prerequisite" of one (or more) roles and do not allow other roles to purchase those items. Obviously certain defensive items (Guardian Angel, Doran's Blade, Cloth Armor, etc.) would need to be a "general" role but most items are designed with specific roles and champions in mind so it definitely doesn't hurt anything to solidify that and make it so that ONLY those champions and roles can purchase the items.

This alone would have stopped tank Ekko, Fizz, Yasuo, and basically every champion from building anything outside of the items available for their specific role. Let's face it, no one wants to see attack speed Lux on their team, AP Riven, AD Braum and Leona.. These are things that tilt players off the face of the earth when occurring in their games. There isn't ANY reason that anyone should be forced into these situations and yet they're ALLOWED TO simply because of how the item system is designed.

PLEASE TIE ITEMS TO THEIR INTENDED ROLES.

Maybe this sounds like a terrible idea but it's really not. It forces people to play the game how it was intended and that can only lead to increasing the fun factor of the game (because it will be much harder for other players to troll you or abuse FoTM strategies against you that shouldn't exist).
