Not enough variance in builds

I do hate how Riot have begun FORCING champions to play certain roles and if they don't, they suck. For example , the new nature of her W makes it so you HAVE to be in lane with somebody else, before her rework you could easily heal yourself with it. Riot have got to stop doing this, one of the big things I liked about League was the diversity of builds and roles for different champions.

Why is it that Graves can go ADC/Jungle/Top and GET AWAY WITH IT while Soraka was destroyed just for going mid. Riot please stop destroying your own game to compete with other MMO's like SMITE and Heroes of the Storm. (I play Aphrodite in SMITE and she is a healer, like Soraka but she can heal herself and a target she kisses, making her ideal for solo lane play despite being mainly a support)

Because Soraka was pretty fucking bullshit as a solo champ whenever she was strong as a solo champ. Because of how her old kit worked, there was absolutely nothing you could really do to counter old Soraka if her numbers were high enough. Old Starcall is impossible to dodge and provides her enough wave clear that you can't shove her under tower and roam freely, old heal was just strong enough so that trades do not matter against Soraka since the damage would never stick, and old silence is literally point and click fuck every ability the opponent can throw. Riot gutted old Soraka for the same reason they gutted old Poppy or old Sion, if their numbers were too strong, they instantly become extremely bullshit champions.

And also, do not contradict yourself by blaming Riot for enforcing specific roles and builds while also using Graves as an example that a single champion when designed well will be able to go a wide variety of roles. Or, perhaps you can wrap it somewhere around your head that maybe, just maybe, there was a problem with Old Soraka and not a problem with Riot's methodology.

I agree, I used to main soraka jungle. Now, I can barely even play her support. She is one of the strongest supports, and I guess Riot thinks this trades off for her not being able to do anything else now, but its quite the opposite, as shes now a permaban. Riot really has been making mistakes recently. Like the rengar nerfs, instead of yasuo.

aphrodite is more like sona. it is a pain for her to be healing off her w but get will of the ancients problem solved asnd it does even more once you hit a champioon off her w
