Ezreal's Arcane Shift Target Priority

After seeing the recent AD ratio added to Ezreal's Arcane Shift (E), I've been concerned with it's homing mechanic. Unlike abilities such as Ahri's Fox Fire (W) & Spirit Rush (R), it does not prioritize champions over minions & monsters. Is there any intended reason this has never been implemented?

I don't necessarily know the exact reason, but I'd assume it's because the counterplay for the spell is better if opponents can position such that they can expect to not be hit. To use your example above, I'd say we should make Ahri's W and R act more like Ezreal's E than the other way around.

It just prioritizes the closest thing. This is to make sure his lane phase isn't to oppressive I'm guessing.

I don't mind the current way it works, also makes CSing under turret easier. I wouldn't like to miss cs because my shift homed in on an enemy champion c:

I think scrapping his W would be the first thing to do. I mean the E W (self) combo is great an all but there is really no use for it.

  • to do that they would have to shut down AP ez
  • if the community likes him AP, though, there would have to be a different direction

He is a poker I guess. But what really is poke?

It's to prevent AP Ezreal from being stinking ridiculously OP. Seriously, if Riot made his E prioritize enemy champions and didn't hit it's AP ratio, the added burst and safety would be off the charts.

i think it's to prevent him from being able to do all-ins like that during the laning phase. not sure tho

ezreal is pretty flexible now with item 3285 existing. Also, with CD runes he has the longest range of any adc and a built in blink that is now more comprehensive as an adc. So yeah
