Whats with all the latent lag?

These past few games of mine ive had my fps drop to 4-3 and other absurd levels. My last rank game we were winning but then one dude decided to get mad and not bother trying, we could have still won with or without him but then boom. my fps drops like an anchor and it basically became a 3 v 5 since everything was just moving in slow mo for me.

Ive been hearing other people in game complaining lately too and usually this happens around when new chmps or reworks or when anything in general is being released imo

why is it so laggy lately tho? im really hoping its not got anything to do with the new rotation of game modes either cause i really like them but yh. any thoughts, reasons or solutions?

literally just lost my last rank game cause of this.
