Draft Champion Select

So let me start off by saying I don't play Ranked much, I enjoy having fun too much to queue up into the mode where everyone is supposed to be serious. But I decided "What the hell- I'll give it a shot".

So when I have a champion highlighted and ready to play- can I please not be kicked because I didn't manage to hit the "lock-in" button? I had my champion selected along with my masteries and summoners- before that would simply lock the champion in for you- now you're kicked and have a timer until you can go back.

What does this feature add to the game? You can't tell me it makes the AFKs or DCs any less likely- what does this do besides just be a penalty? I'll gladly take the complaint back if there's a good reason but it honestly seems to exist solely to screw you.
