Seriously he just instantgib the top laner at level 3 or so and later is tanky af and still can 1v5 carry the game. .
His movement speed bonus along with the retarded short cooldowns/root isn't fun to deal with. The only way to kill ryze is to get the whole team to focus him down.

I'm a ryze main and ill pick this apart. He cannot instagib the enemy top laner at level 3. He can deal a lot of damage in a combo but at that point he does not have enough damage to instagib. A ryze is not "tank AF". He is beefy for a mage but he is not considered tanky without sacrificing damage. He straight up CANNOT 1v5 carry unless he got incredibly fed early game. He does not have a stun and his movement speed bonus is tiny. usually ryze players take mobility quints or stormraiders to combat his nonexistent mobility. A ryze will still lose 1v1 to an adc if the adc builds MAW and is not behind.
He's getting reworked
I don't think ryze is op. Then again, I'm biased since my main counters ryze. I wish ryze was used a lot in my rank. In my rank and below, ryze is never used.
His Q is getting damage nerfed & his ult getting higher cooldowns.
Also, he's scheduled to have yet another rework after Yorick's.
