Camille Design Checklist
The following is a sincere attempt to understand Camille's strengths and weakneses (any constructive discussion would be greatly appreciated):
shields, heals, and plenty of hp and hp regen so you don't need to B from damage? CHECK large mana pool and low mana costs so using abilities aren't much of a worry? CHECK tanky from auto-resists with shields and heals? CHECK
deal true damage and burst? CHECK attack speed steroid for DPS? CHECK double dash so far and on such a short cooldown that it makes Renekton weep bitter, angry tears? CHECK a third-ish dash (Vi-ult style)? CHECK
AOE slow? CHECK reliable STUN? CHECK AOE knockback? CHECK unstoppable single target trap? CHECK
So, Camille = a Tanky-CC, Sustain-Fighter, Assassin-Burst, Unstoppable-Diver, Mobility-DPS Champion?
?! Unless I'm missing something, someone should point out that versatility is a strength. This is true from chess, to first person shooters, to magic the gathering, to EVERYTHING. Versatile champions allow a league player to accomplish more, in more situations, and I've long noticed that Riot doesn't seem to balance champions with versatility much in mind (Lee Sin and Lucian were the only times they really took it on). But, even by Riot standards Camille is extreme. She's like Riven and Lee Sin at their most versatile states combined (with Vi's sure-kill ult thrown on top). And, other than low base mana regen, what big weakness offsets this INCREDIBLE amount of control she offers?
Also, off-topic, her ult, for the trapped player, has weak intuitive responsiveness if you ask me. Your character will walk into it and just stand there. There's no slide-back or anything smooth that gives the trapped player a better feel for what's going on and it would be nice if a behavior like that were added.
