Disconnection Match Fairness
Can I just say how much I hate when matches go on for the whole time with a 4 v. 5 situation?! I honestly hate it and that's what disinterests me about this game. Sure, I love every other concept of the game... except for dis-connectivity fairness. If you've been in a match and the announcer says, "Summoner has disconnected." you feel my pain, along with my stepfather's.
We were playing a standard PvP match (granted we haven't gotten to level 30, so we can't play ranked matches) and both teams were even in strategy and power, so we traded pretty evenly between each champion. A few hits on the allies tower, a few on the opponent's tower and so on. End of the story. No... it isn't.
Not 5 MINUTES into the game, I hear that haunting announcement, the one that makes me grit my teeth in anger and drop jaws in complete, utter awe and confusion. I hear, "Summoner has disconnected." So I go on and think, "Okay, no big deal. They usually reconnect." Again... nope. The ENTIRE REST OF THE GAME, he doesn't reconnect and it quickly turns into 4 v 5 brutal beating from a few players who kinda know what they are doing (and possibly 1 or 2 smurfs).
Mind you, this situation has happened HUNDRED AND HUNDREDS of times. If this issue were to be fixed somehow, I'd be a much more interested, much more invested player of LoL and I'd have not a single complaint to give. It'd end up being a 5 star game for me and I'm sure it'd be a 5 star game to my stepfather. All I want to do is casually play a lot of games with a decent amount of wins so that we can enjoy some good ranked matches.
My suggestions for fixing this problem is either end the game after the disconnected player stays disconnected for 5 minutes and give some type of bonus to all of the other players for at least playing and staying connected to the game and to also prevent ranks from being dropped for having a 4 v 5 disconnection issue happen. Maybe, suspend the player longer since apparently, they don't have the right hardware (and software) to deal with this game or since they don't want to play in the middle of the match. I also suggest that during the game, if the disconnected person doesn't reconnect within those 5 minutes, keep the game going and replace the disconnected person with someone who is in queue to play a game to keep a fair 5v5 match going.
If any moderators or admin sees this, please spread the word because this is a common problem that usually disinterests me and other players from playing this game. Thank you for reading this.
