There is nothing passive about Aatrox's passive

There is nothing passive about it. He doesn't get incremental bonuses per hit like Jax or when Ez hits an ability. Its all or nothing. And hit has to be tempered with knowing when to try to stack to passive and when to heal. And it doesn't just always exist. You have to work for it, every game and every fight

Its a lot of extra awareness and steps needed to get the most of his "passive" and its not even that strong. Aatrox still lacks real damage in his kit. As in, nothing he does reduces armor, burns, does %health damage or significant magic damage. And his revive...well, I would trade that revive for Volibears passive healing (same thing, but you get to move and fight or flee) or something like Nasus (bonus health for 15 seconds, AOE damage, bonus resistances).
