How about a thread for insights how Singed Support/Counter Jungle actually works?

First, let us establish that for the person we are all talking about it does work. It has a +50% winrate on thousands of games. Which means he is actually contributing to the wins, and it's not just a statistical outlier.

"What is he actually doing?" He counter jungles and pressures lanes, covers when needed, and takes camps when available/nearby He is supporting his jungle, midlane and toplane more than his botlane. He is disadvantaging his opponents in places where they are weak. He is letting his team know what the plan is in advance. He is leaving botlane to fend for itself. (At twice the xp, and thus at least level advantage) He doesn't buy sightstone

"Why doesn't he just go top if he wants to play like this?" -Because counterjungling that early in the game without lane pressure mid and top means a collapse, and death. Or waves getting shoved into the turret resulting in loss of gold/xp and dmg to turret. It works specifically because he's not expected to cover toplane.

Same goes for the heavy roam/map advantage that comes from the playstyle later into the game.

"He takes his own junglers camps. Clearly he is toxic" -So does everyone else come midgame, when it's easy. He has smite, making it easy early. Further, given the playstyle's NEED to be hyper-aware of the map, the chances of him taking camps that his own jungler is about to take is much lower than that of a random adc or midlaner taking camps to farm up. Camps respawn, untaken camps are a waste of gold.

"He's not doing what is expected of him. If you pick Support, you should, like, PLAY SUPPORT. Report." -The meta has always been shifting. It settled on how it is now because adc's were needed to kill towers and they could use some protection. But we have Morde in the intended Adc role and ZZ'Rot now. Things are different. What has been consistent though. Is that support is expected to pull it's weight as a 5th man while not farming traditionally. Which is why low ratio high base stats champs tend to be support. But now we have Zyra and MF being meta. And other supports that delay sightstone for more damage-pressure.
