FEEDBACK: New Champion Select User Interface

There are a few things about the New Champion Select that make me feel like I'm "playing against the game" rather than "playing the game against my opponents."

  1. There is no distinct audio cue to tell me when it's my turn. I realize that Riot wants my full attention when I'm playing League, but the fact is that I want to check Facebook, play a minigame, or have a conversation with my teammates in TeamSpeak while I'm waiting for my turn to pick/ban. There is an excess of noise during champion select and I tend to tune it all out. The effect that plays when my turn comes sounds the same as when someone else is making a pick/ban. This was not an issue for the old UI. I don't realize it's my turn until I hear the ticking at the end of the timer. Either tone down the noise of Champion Select in general, or really get my attention on my turn while I have more than 5 seconds to choose.

  2. There is no ticking effect near the end of the "Resolution" phase. This lack of sound exacerbates the final problem...

  3. THE MASTERY WINDOW COVERS THE TIMER! This is either a terrible oversight or a cruel joke! If I need to adjust my masteries on the fly (which anyone playing seriously should), I cannot see OR hear the timer! More than once, I've had the game suddenly launch with unsaved masteries.
