War on Simplicity

I don't have the energy or love left this morning to go in-depth like I thought I would while I was thinking about this. So I'm going to keep it simple.

Akali is gone forever and I'm not okay with that. Unless your champ already got hit, and maybe you got lucky with a good rework, i'm happy for you. But not everyone is the same and not everyone will appreciate seeing their favorite champion on the rework list. I main Teemo and there's 0% chance he survives the doom-clock, the only thing saving him is probably his meme status like Annie. But his kit is "TOO OLD, TOO SIMPLE" and will be completely guttered.

Akali was so simple and elegant in design. I enjoy the assassin experience every now and then, o.Akali and o.Katarina were good entry level champions. Then RIot decided, "These champions need more circles" and completely changed the essence of the experience. "It's okay because Katarina still spins and Akali still shrouds"

Text boxes get longer, abilities get more complex, Riot cares a whole lot about keeping the superficial conceptual principals of a champion like "Must Shroud" or "Must place mushroom" but doesn't care much about keeping the overall experience intact or the difficulty level, or preserving people's investment and mastery.
