Ok let's try this, Riot can you come with a different method to game balance other than nerfs?

Like Items or something. Can you adjust ingame options to overcome a champions powerful special abilities, like with Items and what not. Or are you going to let these halfassed skilless players force you to nerf this game into dullness?

Are you trying to say they don't do buffs?

I have pride in my gaming. I have pride in the gaming community. League, S4, the PS culture, and the XBOX fanboys. Gamers represent a new unified culture to me. ones who can overcome their differences via virtual bullets, and com gen spells. We are the only culture on this planet that conducts ourselves with relative maturity, (not talking about the spamming, and trolling, but even then that's a far cry from blowing up an entire populace over a goddamned land dispute). We fight and cry, we win and cheer. We evolved. period. I'm proud of that. Very

Buffing and nerfing are the most obvious tools to balance the strenghts of different Champions, all I read is that they most likely nerfed your main and now you're pissed off about it.

Changing items affects all champions, and as such are much broader changes than nerfing a single champion.

Nerfing items is the worst way you can balance the game because it affects such a large group of champions at once. Suppose Jinx is OP and you decide to nerf IE to deal with her. Sure, maybe Jinx is weaker now, but so too are Tristana and Twitch.

Riot's already explained why they choose nerfs most of the time: it's more urgent to balance champs that see more play (the OP ones), and to avoid powercreep, it's better to nerf them rather than buff everyone else.
