Riot's Major Champion Updates and Changes
The updates have made a lot of progress for some champions in all honesty, but some either fail or go to far. An example of failure is the Mordecaiser update. He really didn't get any theme/lore update and his kit pretty much remained the same, except Riot tried to throw him into the bot lane. Another example, and more recent, would be the Kog' Maw update. They basically knew that what they were doing was wrong, but still went with it. Who in their right mind would actually think that 5.0 attacks per second was going to be balanced with on-hits being prominent and Runaan's existing. Kog' Maw was one of my favorite ADCs pre-rework. He had mixed damage, good range, and his kit made it feel like you actually had skill when you did good in a team fight. He now is just a champion centered around stationary auto attacking instead of kiting and positioning. It is no longer the Kog' Maw player's job to be safe, it is their team, which removes any interaction and skill it took before to actually play Kog' Maw.
So I hope I made it clear to the people reading this post that Riot isn't entirely successful with these updates. What I would like to see is Riot learning from their mistakes, and like the Ryze update, go back and fix what they fucked up without being like; "We fixed these champions, they will only need number adjustments from now on", or if they actually do see a fuck-up not just wait until a couple of years to pass and be like; "this champion needs to be adjusted towards the new game LoL is". Riot needs to identify all of the problems they have made, with not just the class updates but in general (elemental dragons, weak towers, items, etc.), and when they have the time release an update that fixes everything they fucked up.
