why was i matched against a diamond player

this is ridiculous. i havent won lane in 40 plus games. and you solution is to match me against a diamond player???

im lvl 27 and i get placed with Gold players. Why is matchmaking broken

I've been told it places you with people that have similar MMR's to you, or similar skill levels.

I'm lvl 30 and placed silver II last season and I usually get put with silver and gold people, sometimes the occasional plat. I can only remember one time I was put against a diamond player and he was actually really really bad.

It must be a mixture. 1: you have a good mmr overall. 2: that diamond player has garbage mmr and shouldn't be diamond. That's usually what it means when two people with drastically different ranks are paired up.

Well that diamond player just went 16-1-10 but yeah he was a similar skill level

I play against bronze and silver players still becuase I rarely play normals. The mmr is seperate between the two so even though I'm plat my normal is around silver.

That 1st time udyr last game though was to easy haha

is he diamond on that champion? or just diamond overall or is that not how that works
