Is there any point in playing ranked now that the season has ended?

I hear that the ranked season is over, and was wondering if I should even play ranked.

Does the increase in rank over the next month influence your season 10 MMR in any way, shape, or form?

Keep in mind, pre-season is the absolute worst time to play ranked. Absolute infestation of trolls that don't really care about winning because their rank will be reset soon.

So play with caution...

Yes, winning games in ranked increases your ranked mmr even after the season has ended. So.... if you increase your mmr you will gain more lp and have a quicker climb next season

You can adjust where your MMR starts in relation to a soft reset. Can be good or bad depending on your results.

Yes. It can help your MMR, say you go from Gold to Plat durning pre-season, then your placement matches will lean towards plat MMR and have a better chance at a higher placing. You won't start there of course from placement as it generally drops you down one to two divisions but it does make a better standard.

Its has a very small effect on ur mmr. But i personally would avoid ranked unless you want slightly more balanced games cuz ib preseason, buga and glitches are way more rampant than usual

Things are stupid broken or stupid weak because u know...preseaaon

And gatekeepers srill lurk in games ruining peoples mmr during preseason still

Also people treat ranked like norms with better mmr and play things they never played/practice 'op' champs and weird builds

So, rank at ur own risk

Yes, first it does in fact effect your MMR, see the ranked season might be over but your MMR is based on how well you do in ranked, not how well you finish in ranked only during the season. So if you climb to say plat in the offseason the next season around your MMR will reflect this. Now of course you're not going to start there, but you won't be thrown into elo hell either.

I believe it could help your MMR(I could be wrong) but I'm not gonna do it.
