Runes Reforged or not, I just want League back this season

Disregarding Pre-season 8 and it's inevitable clusterfuck, can we please stop and acknowledge what League has become?

We're stuck with things like:

  • Some plastic pillar once referred to as a "Turret" collapsing in on itself upon Recalling

  • Duskblade of Burst-more

  • Literal 3-4 shotting from Champions that aren't Assassins/Burst Mages

  • Superior champion-supporting resources centered around Early-game-dominance

  • To elaborate, shifting things in the game to allow late-game champions to scale fast into their late-game strengths; shortening the duration of - or bypassing - their weaknesses. Rather than seek ways to evenly support slow-scalers and early stompers. (Ardent Censer fiasco was pushing this to extremes)
  • 7-8 minute Laning phase compared to the old 13-18 minute Laning phase; hardly any time to LANE.

  • Supports bringing far more strength via items than their kits; despite being designed to be able to -support- efficiently with their kits; inevitably influencing ADCs heavily and potentially having a larger impact on the game than some realize.

  • AD Itemization/Armor Pen getting far more attention for quite some time compared to AP itemization/Magic Pen.

To start so small, League amassed such a great number of people for what you chose to do differently with it as opposed to other MOBAs/games out there. And in the last few seasons, it's as though you simply want to sacrifice quality game experience for a higher quantity of games/players. Shifting the game as much as you can from Strategy to Action whilst hoping you maintain some modicum of the initial appeal.

This game slowly inches further and further away from what the foundation that held it up, and it's painful to watch as someone who absolutely LOVED it. Given I've heard Riot already has another game in development, I don't think it's too unfair to request we try and shift League to something less akin to the pacing of a Call-of-Duty MOBA. ):
