item 3001 This item is slightly problematic right now like Riot pointed out due to how strong it is when you rush it. That is because it is extremely cheap, increases your damage output by a lot ( depends on champions, AP assasins or short range mages (Akali Ahri Annie AurelionSol Ekko Fizz Kassadin Leblanc Katarina) can make the most out of its aura) and is also very safe in AP vs AP matchups, you basically win the lane if you get one and the enemy AP laner doesn't.

But then there are the other types of people that use Abyssal. Amumu Fiddlesticks Galio Heimerdinger Kennen Karthus Morgana Rammus Swain Vladimir ^ These champions use Abyssal becuase they are frontliners or All in type champions that try to get to the heart of the enemy team and make their move. (eg Morg Ulti, Swain ulti into zhonias, Kennen Ulti into zhonias etc)

It feels like we should have 2 slightly different version of Abyssal scepter in the game to fit the 2 champion types better.

**1) the Asssasin version ** ( item 1033 +item 1052 +item 3108 ) cost : 2600g 80AP 10% CDR 25 magic Resist UNIQUE active: upon activation for the next 7 seconds your next ability on an enemy Champion will reduce their Magic Resist by a flat 30 ( number can be adjusted, but u get the idea, you acitvate like AD assasins do with youmous before you go in and will do a little bit of extra damage to that person you want to assasinate)

**2) The Frontliner / All in / Aura support type champions ** ( item 1057 +item 1026 ) This idea was actually once on the PBE but Riot scrapped it for some Reason. Cost: 2450g 70AP 55 Magic Resist UNIQUE passive: every second you emenate a wave around you that reduces all surrounding enemies' Magic Resist by 8, stacking up to 5 times for a maximum of 40 MR shred when capped.
