Any regards on when gifting in end screen will be available

It's not available in the new client yet and I was just wondering when it would be available. I've came across a few people who deserve it, but can't gift them. I have to add them, then wait 24 hours which isn't convenient.

Don't know if any rioters will read this but I'm very curious.
