Some suggestions for dynamic queue and champion select (reasonable suggestions)
- If we queue solo in dynamic queue, record the game seperately as solo MMR and have a 'solo ranking' along with our regular ranking.
If you queue solo, your MMR used for matchmaking is solo MMR. Otherwise, it is premade MMR. If you are premade but have no premade MMR, you use your solo MMR. If you are solo but have no solo MMR, you use your premade MMR.
This way, solos still get to play in dynamic queue and have the wonderful opportunity of cooperating with premades and fighting against coordinated opponents, but they'll be recognized for their efforts. It also allows the system to distinguish those who play solo vs. those who play premade while keeping a single queue.
- Open champion select for more than 2 roles.
Have a checkbox where all 5 roles are present. You enter your preferences on each role 1-4 and choose a role to exclude.
This automated role selection system will operate in essence like old solo queue. It will prevent people from not learning multiple roles/positions and it will solve the problem of no one picking support or jungle leading to high queue times. This should significantly reduce queue times, because while there are many people who won't pick support secondary, there are even more people who straight up can't ADC or jungle.
- Instead of labeling it as 'champion swap', label it as 'champion/role' swap. That way you can switch roles in an official way.
