Ways to make the game more dynamic - More snowballing, More comeback potential! more objectives!
I made this post in another thread and thought it worthy of it's own thread. Goal is to allow snowballing teams the potential to end the game faster but also those some mechanics are used as come backs when a defending team makes a good play.
As long as the games are interesting with play and counter play the length doesn't bother me. Here are things that bother me in regards to game length:
Game is snowballing and a team doesn't have mechanics to come back, but just enough wave clear to stall for 40 mins before finally losing. 1 champion being so strong he can stall out/drag out/win the game despite the other 4 members of the team being useless Lack of meaningful objectives after tier 1 towers fall and dragon is off the map (rift herald may help this I haven't played enough).
Here are some interesting changes that could escalate snowballing/allow for comebacks if losing team manages an outplay: Teamwide buffs: 1- All tier 1 towers fall= buff to the 'winning' team's dmg to structures 2- All tier 2 towers fall= buff to the 'winning' team's minions resistance to aoe damage. Both of these buffs available to both teams and last through out the game
Buffs 1-Anytime a tower falls the player who last hits it gets a stackable buff 2-When an allied tower falls an item is dropped in your base. Call it a 'flag,' this will provide a temporary buff if a team mate grabs it and brings it to a tower. Buff could be-increased tower armor, aoe dmg instead of single target etc.
Crazy concepts 1-King of the hill. If 3+ players on a team have control of a broken tower long enough it comes back to life, with different stats (less hp, different dmg type/abilities). Could apply to enemy towers as well as allied towers. 2-team items. each member is only allowed to purchase one 'part' these can be combined to create a new siege minion, temporary buff, etc. Potentially parts are collected from towers/monsters and not just purchased through gold. 3-When a tower falls it drops a package of resources. Health packs/dmg buffs/minion buffs etc. can be picked up by either team, each tier of tower should have different drops.
other thoughts: The learning curve on these would be fairly high. Some of this maybe should be'unlocked' as the account leevl increases.
