Idea for Baron ReWork
I love the Rift Herald. And this idea will make Baron Similar in one sense.
Whether you Fight, Battle, or completely Abolish the Rift Herald you must pick it up. This idea is just that. When Baron gets slain we shouldn't get the buff right away. It should drop. Requiring two or more teammates to cast onto the "altar" like substance that drops.
Who knows, this could bring on more lore saying that the baron swallowed a large gem granting it the power it has!... or something.
Basic Mechanics would be: -Slay Baron, -Gem drops, (It has to be a gem because they are just outrageous.) -Regardless of what team slew the kind Mr. Nashor either may pick up the Gem. -To pick up the Gem you must have 2 or more members of the same team cast upon it. (Entire team still gets buff.) -The more people you have casting upon the gem the quicker you get the buff. (5 seconds for 2 people, 2 seconds for 5.) Doesn't have to be exactly that, but i think it explains what is trying to happen. -Gem lasts 1 Minute Vanishes and reduces the next baron spawn time by 10% if not taken.
Alternate Version: Alt #1 1 person can pick up the gem with a 50% reduction for each other person. Scaling would be 1|5 Seconds 2|2.5 Seconds 3|1.25 Seconds 4|.625 Seconds 5|.31 Seconds.
Alt #2 Or even (For harder Solo baron, giving the other team a fighting chance to still contest a baron kill. Scaling would be 1|10 Seconds 2|5 Seconds 3|2.5 Seconds 4|1.25 Seconds 5|1 Second. With this the 5th member doesn't have to be there.
Personally i like the Alternate #2 better. It allows the other team a fighting chance after baron has been slain. The team that killed baron would still get gold advantage. But no immediate buff.
I feel that this will make Baron Fights much more interesting, and more thought out. Making Vision a necessity. Why try and sneak a baron if their team is close enough to come and contest a gem snag?
