Is this what Riot wanted Rengar to be?

A bruiser? Since release his most effective build was warrior's + cleaver and tank... before the rework it was a critical build that was a risk and it fitted his theme. And he had to snowball to be effective... you know, like an assassin should be? Now after Riot finally fixed (gutted) his numbers, his win\pick\ban rate is almost exactly the same as before except he takes less skill, doesn't fit his theme and is more frustrating to deal with.

Riot please revert the knifecat.

He was ALWAYS a good bruiser. Watch Shy and Dekar playing him in season 3. You guys are probably just newer to the game... It's just that he was way better and more effective at taking over a game when built with a lot of damage.

We were beginning to see the return of bruiser/tank Rengar right after his last set of nerfs before the rework. Looking at this comment section all I see is salty people who want to emulate a nightblue3 montage and oneshot stuff. Don't mean to be offensive, but that's how you guys come off.

In no way is he less "skillfull" then before. His old Ult gave vision of EVERYONE and you had so much utility and freedom to setup a fight with your team. If anything new Rengar takes more skill. Just go watch ScrubNoob never use empowered W when he should (EleGiggle) and you will see a reflection of yourself not accepting how his new kit works and wanting to just simply dump damage and be done with it.

Only Dekar makes him look really good and actually knows how to play him properly, but he doesn't even seem interested in Rengo at this point sadly.

Don't think it is what Riot intended, everything they said in the lead up suggested other wise. It's just what happened, and now it feels like they are just going to make us endure what remains of him :/

An Assassin shouldn't need to snowball to be effective.

No class should require snowballing to be effective.

That being said, I believe Rengar is easier for them to balance now. The only thing I would change is his ultimate. Namely, the free crit. I like the idea Riot proposed for removing the crit and causing your next empowered ability to refund 4 Ferocity.

"We want old rengo back"

No you don't. Nor the version before that. Nor the version before that.

Let's face it. This is probably the best version of rango we've had so far, where he isn't just some retarded instaburst from stealth then lol away.

That's not saying much, but considering the way hurr durr manaless spamcat has worked out in the game so far...

They tried to push him into a bruiser direction multiple times, so.. Yes. This is what Riot wanted..

Too bad everyone still hates playing against him even more than before... Even ADC mains prefer old Rengar... That should speak volumes, how bad this rework actually is

They will never answer, this is what happens when they rework the champion on what ppl who dont play him ask for. This is why most of the assassin reworks failed they did it for ppl who play against them rather than the ppl who play the champs which frustrates the players who have worked so hard to get good at them.

I think the ideas behind his rework were really good, but he does not need assasin items to do his job

I think they are working on something big on Rengar (yeah, rework again boyz).

Reasons to thinks this:

1- Rework failed at every goals, except at giving him more counterplay.

2- Still no new skins, It would be pointless to make a skin if you are planning a rework. Also Chromas can be a way of saying: "Well, at least you have something until we change knifecat".

3- Reworks feels incomplete. I feel like this rework was ruhsed and made fast without actually thinking carefully in what to do. The rework is a step foward in the right direction, however IS not the solution.

Rengar is a champ that is really flexible according to the situation! He can be a one shot assasin, a bruiser, a tank, a mage he can be whatever you want him to be if you're good enough! this Rengar doesn't take less skill he just has a qss advantage and that's it and that is an advantage if used right so basically Rengar is a player specific champ on builds where the people playing him can play him however they like (for example i have 9 different builds for the jungle alone depending on the situation and my keystone) if you're not good with the new Rengar just because you can't adapt to it maybe you should quit playing him after all Rengar is good enough to flex his build to your needs so if you're not good enough for Rengar you can start maining another champ anytime
