mordekaiser full xp is enforcing the meta

mordekaiser gets full xp in a duo lane. why does this enforce the meta? riot gave him full xp because they want him to be able to handle a ranged carry.

pls tell me, how is any solo laner going to survive in a duo lane against mordekaiser? mordekaiser is still viable in a solo lane. this means he will have absolutely no disadvantage going against the same champions in a duo lane. but on top of it, he will get full xp.

people complain about yasuo's overloaded kit but he was probably one of the only (if not the only one) legit melee adc that was able to handle a duo-lane in the current meta. and he did it without any gimmicks. he has a very solid kit and there is nothing that gives him stats just for the sake of giving him stats.

yes, mordekaiser can handle a standard adc+support lane, but they made him completely broken against anything that isn't a standard adc + support lane.

he already has an ability that is useless in a solo-lane. riot could rework that ability and give him something to survive against ranged adc. he has a huge fucking armour, give him an ability that ignores ranged auto-attacks for 1 or 2 seconds. he already has a shield as well. I don't care, just give him something...

say what you want, but this is enforcing the meta. I don't care about his Q. and I actually like that he can get the dragon as a pet. but this passive is completely beyond broken no matter how much you fine tune his stats. it should simply not exist. everything else are balance issues but there is nothing that can justify giving him full xp in a duo lane.

just to make something clear: I'm not saying that riot is enforcing the meta for the team that is playing mordekaiser. I'm saying that riot is enforcing the meta to the team playing against him.

if the enemy team picks a mordekaiser, you have to pick a standard bot-lane 100% to play against him.

riot wanted to make mordekaiser viable in the bot lane to add some alternatives to the standard meta. yes, they enforced mordekaiser bot. but this is not the problem. by doing this, riot is actually enforcing the enemy team to play with a standard bot lane to play against mordekaiser. and this is not what riot intended. the meta can't change if mordekaiser gets full xp in a duo-lane because he will be too strong against duo-lanes that can't kite him.

Surviving lane against him is easy. He just farms and tries to stay healthy, unless you keep getting close to him and/or stunned so he can hit you.

The experience modifier isn't forcing him to go bot, it just makes him more efficient there. His W on the other hand, is designed for a dual lane only, just like how Soraka can't heal herself with W. But that doesn't force him bot either; if you want to say "losing the ability to cast W alone makes him duo lane only", then what about the champions that don't always put points into all their skills asap? It's the same there. You don't have to put any points into it and instead focus on the ones you need (think Kog'maw, who often doesn't even bother with Q until there's nothing else).

Ok, Im trying to wrap my head around this. So, you're saying that Mordekaiser is too good against...other melee carries? That's not a problem with his passive. If you're playing a melee carry bot lane there was a LOT of room for error to begin with, and Morde's insane damage in trades with a melee carry sounds more like the issue. And I only brought up lane swaps because I didn't realize you were actually playing solo lanes INTENTIONALLY into a duo lane. Like without lane swapping. Which also presents a lot of room for error. And also if you actually lane swap against Morde (in response to the other reply I got) knowing how easily you could get punished then you aren't punished for being good at the game, you're punished for making terrible decisions that get you killed.

Of course the meta is being enforced. They WANT Mordekaiser to go to a duo lane. That means bot lane because that's where you want the duo lane because Dragon is one of the first available objectives. One of the lanes has to have a duo. If you're going to lane swap against a Mordekaiser, you're going to have to think a little harder about that call because of the full XP. Remember, he only gets the full xp for minions HE kills, so if you can stop him from using it doesn't matter that he gets full XP from that inefficient csing.
